LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Tickets for the first midnight showings of “Twilight” are quickly selling out, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Online ticket sellers Fandango and MovieTickets report the film has sold out hundreds of performances, four days before its Friday opening in about 3,400 locations.
Fandango has sold out almost 700 shows - including 500 or so midnight Thursday screenings - and MovieTickets counted more than 400 sellouts of various show times.
Hollywood experts speculate a million-plus opening is almost assured and million or more is possible, if weekend moviegoing proves robust. Some are predicting an opening weekend with sales in excess of million.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jessica Simpson says her sister Ashlee is so ready to give birth, she’s trying to induce labor.
“They’re going to have to. It’s already developing really quick,” People Magazine reports Jessica said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show taped Monday .
Jessica went on to say that Ashlee – described by husband Pete Wentz more than two weeks ago as due at any moment – has already tried other ways to begin labor.
“Different foot massages and stuff,” Jessica told DeGeneres in the show airing Wednesday. “I don’t know. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - An attorney for Michael Jackson said Tuesday the pop star may be too ill to travel to London to testify in a suit claiming he owes an Arab sheikh million.
Jackon want’s to testify via video conference from the United States.
“It would be unwise for him to travel, given what’s he’s got now,” lawyer Robert Englehart said, declining to elaborate “for the obvious reasons.”
Al Khalifa’s lawyer, Bankim Thanki, said the medical evidence presented by Jackson’s legal team was “very unsatisfactory” and Jackson’s illness could be treated with a bandage “if the diagnosis is positive.”
“It’s not the first time a sick note has been presented by Mr. Jackson,” Thanki said, also without elaborating.
The judge said he would rule on the matter Thursday to allow time for medical experts on both legal teams to talk.

The case is being tried in London by mutual agreement, Al Khalifa’s representatives have said. It is due to wrap up by the end of the month.
